Le Schaeferhof

Far away from noise and environmental pollution…

“Schaeferhof” in English means : shepherd’s court.
Following the tradition of the Schaeferhof, early every year the lambs are born to the delight of the young and the old.
And sometimes (as seen in the photo), we must assist the mother sheep in the feeding of the lambs.

The Schaeferhof is the erstwhile leasehold of the prince-abbot
of Murbach.
The meticulously restored building from the 18th century figures
in the list of historic monuments.
It is surrounded by a large park with orchards and vegetable gardens and the enclosure for the sheep.

For your comfort the house is a no-smoking zone and no animals are allowed inside.
